— Danielle, co-founder of Little Birdy

Walking up New Street, you will first see the wall graffiti of Naked Hub, and just a few steps ahead would be Little Birdy with its unpretentious casual setting. People chilling out at the bench at the entrance, friendly staff. It almost feels like an extension of the co-working space where you can relax and take your mind off work for a little while, and most importantly, get some nutritious goodies into your system!

The menu is super fun as well. You get “Super Foods” with a bunch of vegan options and nutrient-dense edamame, raw pumpkin seeds, quinoa, etc. You also get “The Naughty Corner” where vegans can enjoy an interesting vegan burger “Yes, I’m a Vego” on request. Really not expecting this “density” of vegan options but oh yes here we go! A nice pleasant surprise and a great find in the neighbourhood! Check them out and let us know what you think!

Story of Little Birdy

Located in the lifestyle and cultural hub of Sheung Wan’s New Street neighbourhood and founded by Danielle Giambattista and Yuey Tan, Little Birdy brings to life the essential elements of vibrant fast casual dining – top quality, ethically farmed produce, clean cooking techniques and a serious sense of fun. Little Birdy is designed for and dedicated to the vibrant neighbourhood it calls home, giving surrounding residents and businesses the perfect location to eat and hang out seven days a week. They serve up a delightful range of wholesome, nourishing superfood salads, handcrafted sandwiches and delicious daily specials alongside their other menu items that cater to non-vegans.

“It’s about the experience,” Danielle says. “Creating textured, balanced, delicious food is our mission, but creating an awesome vibe and community is just as important.” Yuey shares this philosophy: “Honest food and great company is what it’s all about. We don’t take ourselves too seriously – we just want people to eat well and have fun!”

Make no mistake, however. Danielle and Yuey are serious about their food. Superfood salads and hand-crafted sandwiches made daily on-premises, Little Birdy also features a ‘Naughty Corner’ for those moments where indulgence comes first. The ‘Super Foods’ menu includes delicious vegan options like the Bangin’ Beets with Kale and Cashews ($55) and the Detox with Red Cabbage ($45).

The perfect spot for a quick lunch, weekend brunch, casual dinner or sneaky takeaway.
