How many times had your meat loving friends raved about how good the burgers at Beef & Liberty were when they had absolutely no sympathy for the plant loving you? Beef & Liberty has decided to help us out by offering many delectable vegan and vegetarian options to save us from that jealousy! It is the perfect place to dine with omnivores and herbivores together as everything from their menu to their service just shouts inclusiveness. The super cool and slightly retro decor of the Beef & Liberty restaurants is definitely a plus - casual and relaxing and perfect for some lighthearted chats! 

Beef & Liberty is the perfect embodiment of passion. They are obsessed with the perfect burgers and so they have created Beef & Liberty to bring the best burgers to us all. They are also passionate about the community and the environment, and so they have created a vegetarian and plant-based sister brand Leaves & Liberty to offer a variety of vegetarian and plant-based starters, salads and burgers to us, including a range of 100% plant-based Impossible™ burgers. And their connection with the community does not stop there! Part of their sales proceeds is donated to The Nature Conservancy Hong Kong and HK Cleanup. They're also taking other steps to reduce their environmental impact, such as water purifying, recyclable and biodegradable takeaway packaging, and low-energy lighting systems. How can we not support a conscious business like theirs!

The story behind Beef & Liberty…

'Beef & Liberty' is a hamburger obsessed concept based in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Our love of ‘all things burger related’ inspired us to spend years researching what makes the perfect hamburger - meat-to-bun ratios, patty recipes, grind coarseness, Maillard reactions, and cheese meltability to name but a few. Beef & Liberty is the product of that obsession - those technical details are exactly what we are all about. It’s this passion that’s made us want to share our burger addiction with the good people.

Our name originates in 18th century Britain where the leading members of London society gathered in beefsteak clubs to partake of great food, fine booze and entertaining company. The brilliantly named Sublime Society of Beefsteaks was the most famous of all the clubs and its motto was “Let beef and liberty be my reward”. We loved the line so much we took it as our name.

Although recognised as a hamburger concept, we created 'Leaves & Liberty', a vegetarian and plant-based sister brand to Beef & liberty that offers a variety of vegetarian and plant-based starters, salads and burgers including a range of 100% plant-based Impossible™ burgers.

While our passion for burgers is unparalleled, we also care deeply about the environment. As a business, we have made it our goal to work towards a greener, healthier and more sustainable menu as well as supporting and sponsoring environmental protection campaigns. We recognise that our guests are becoming more environmentally conscious and diets and food preferences are changing, so we wanted to become a SocialVegan eatery partner to voice this change. To show our guests and followers that we are listening and that we have developed a variety of delicious plant-based burgers and dishes that will satisfy their vegan needs.
